G-Wagon Debt: God is Bigger Than Everything — Portable Breaks Silence

Controversial singer, Portable, has broken his silence after being arrested for refusing to pay the remaining N14 million debt he incurred after buying a N27 million G-Wagon from a car dealer.

Taking to his Instagram account on May 15, 2024, he posted an image which read, “God is bigger than everything. Amen if you believe so.” He said in his caption, “God Over Everything. 🙏”

Portable’s fans expressed their support for him in the comment section, encouraging him to record a new song, and praying for him.

A fan said, “Expect new song from anikuleti, street don jazzy, ika of africa…Welcome back idan sango.” Another comment read, “Bigger u Habeeb” and another fan said, “Big God go do am again You I’ll never go down.”

Portable was arrested by the police on May 14 after he was reported by the car dealer from whom he bought the G-wagon. According to reports, there were previous attempts made by the dealer to contact the singer but they proved abortive.

Trending videos across social media showed the moment Portable was apprehended by the police and the warrant for his arrest was read out loud. However, in the blink of an eye, Portable took off running and swiftly hopped over a large gate.

His getaway was short-lived because another trending video showed that he had been caught, Portable was then dragged and carried by multiple police officers into their patrol van.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, took to his X account to confirm Portable’s arrest, saying, “Yes, Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for N27m, paid N13m, and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today.”
